What is OverDrive?
OverDrive is a platform to find, borrow, and enjoy eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and videos.

How do I sign up?
Go to rcls.overdrive.com or download the app to create your account. You will be asked to enter a valid email address and set up a password. You will also need to select the RAMAPO CATSKILL LIBRARY SYSTEM as your library system, and enter your 14 digit library card number. You will also be asked to enter your PIN which should be the last four digits of the phone number you provided to us. For more information, go to Getting Started with OverDrive.

How do I "borrow" items?
Once you have successfully logged in, you can search for items you want. You can borrow items labeled "AVAILABLE" or place a hold on items labeled "WAIT LIST." Click the "Borrow" link, select your loan period 7 or 14 days, then click "Borrow." The item is now in your "Loans," and you can access it the app, or on your computer.

Can I download / borrow as many items as I want?
You may borrow up to 8 items at a time.

How long can I keep items, and how are they returned?
You may select your loan period of 7 or 14 days. The default setting is 7 days.

Returns are managed automatically by the OverDrive website and/or mobile app. You do not need to return items manually. You can choose to return an item early, instruction to do that will be with the title on your device.

How do I borrow and download or stream items on my tablet or smartphone?
You'll need to install the app for your device. You will find the "Libby" app in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Amazon App Store. Click the icons below to be redirected.
