What is Freegal? 

Freegal is a free music service for patrons of the Tappan Library. It offers access to about 15 million songs through Sony Music's catalog. When you download a song - you do not have to return it, it is yours to keep.

How do I sign up?

Go to www.freegalmusic.com or download the app. Search for the Tappan Library, then enter your 14-digit library card and your PIN number. Your PIN number should be the last 4 digits of the telephone number you provided to us.

How do I download music or videos?

Search by artist, album or song. One you have found what you are interested in, you can either listen to a brief preview, or download the track. 

How many songs can I download?

You get three download "credits" per week. Songs use one credit, videos require two. Unused credits do not carry over from week to week.
