In this course, education professionals explore the early childhood field and related themes, issues, and controversies. Education professionals make connections between key topics and their own personal experiences, interests, and aspirations; coursework; current research; real-world early childhood settings; and future trends, challenges, and possibilities within the field of early care and education. They investigate professional organizations and research information on early childhood career opportunities. They also reflect on prior knowledge as well as knowledge gained throughout the course in regard to what it means to be a professional in the field of early education.
