EDUC 3302 - Making Connections: Professions in the Field of School-Age and Adolescent Development (2 credits)

In this course, education professionals haveĀ an overview of the practices and professions in the field of school-age and adolescent development, including topics such as careers; interpersonal and professional skills; and ethical/legal guidelines needed for working with school-age children and adolescents, families, and other professionals. Education professionals explore a variety of organizations that are devoted to fostering the healthy development of school-age children and adolescents. They also have the opportunity to investigate a profession of their choice to learn the responsibilities and tasks it entails. Additionally, education professionals describe what they perceive to be the professional relationship between ethical and legal obligations as well as the significance of law and ethics in the field of school-age and adolescent development.
