Indigenous Scholarship
It is important to recognize that indigenous voices can come from many places, especially the all-too-common exclusion of Western-educated natives because they are not considered to be writing from an “authentic” indigenous perspective. But an increasingly connected world is offering opportunities for indigenous scholars to network across communities and center their voices in academic publishing.
Center for Native American and Indigenous Studies (CNAIS)This CU Boulder organization focuses on understanding and supporting developing global indigeneity. They promote collaborative research, focusing on both local and global Indigenous knowledge and experience, provide Native students and faculty an intellectual and social home at CU, and foster wide-ranging NAIS projects that aim to open conversations both in Colorado and the world

American Indigenous Research Association (iAIRA)"iAIRA is a place of gathering for students, scholars, and professionals seeking to share and engage in conversations and learning about Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Indigenous Research Methodologies.
These Methodologies cross-through all academic disciplines, with a primary goal of applying, with cultural sensitivity, the diverse Ways of Knowing, Being, and Doing from Indigenous perspectives that reveal relationalities and interdependencies between these knowledges and the topics and issues they address."

The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS)"SACNAS – is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM."
