Many of your textbooks are available online through RedShelf or VitalSource. Students are able to borrow up to seven (7) etextbooks from each site using their SUNY Erie email address to sign up through each site. Books are available until 5/25/20.

RedShelf is a service of Follett, the same company that operates our college bookstores.

VitalSource is an etextbook platform for many institutions across the country.

This spreadsheet compares textbooks currently on reserve in all 3 libraries to eTextbooks found in RedShelf and VitalSource. Books marked "current edition" mean there is a more current edition in RedShelf and VitalSource than our copy on reserve in the library.

To ensure that all students have access to their course materials amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, we're partnering with the publishing community to provide you with up to 7 free eBooks from participating publishers. (Program applies to students at non-profit, semester-based schools, and access runs through May 25th.)

VitalSource Helps
VitalSource Helps is a program designed to support students and instructors who may have lost access to course materials due to a campus moving to distance learning to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This program is made possible by the leading publishers and resellers in US higher education. The program offers free access to an expansive catalog of ebooks through May 25, 2020 to students and instructors at impacted 2 and 4-year non-profit institutions in the US.
