NAICS and SIC

Do you know the NAICS and SIC codes for the industry you are researching? 

Federal statistical agencies use these codes to classify business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy..  NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) codes were adopted in 1997 to replace the old Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system.  Many research resources, such as databases, utilize NAICS and/or SIC codes. So if you wanted to search for information about the Logging industry, for instance, you might use the NAIC 11331
