Discussion boards are a way to have your students interact directly with one another online. A chance to express their thoughts or opinions on assignments and course topics.
- Start by clicking on the "Discussion Board" navigation button
- In the gray menu bar, click on "Create Forum"
- Give a name to your Discussion Board, this is the same name that appears in the Grade Center
- Use the "Description" to explain what you would like the students to talk about
- Set availability options, grade, and due date (viewable on the course calendar)
- You can set multiple options for students to be able to create and edit their posts
- "Force Moderation of Posts" is an option that requires the instructor to read each post and approve it before other students are able to see it
- After everything is set, click "Submit"
