Creating a custom column is a way for you to enter in points or information that aren't already in Blackboard. This could include points for in-class activities, watching videos, or reading assignments.
To create a column:
- Go to the "Full Grade Center"
- Up in the gray menu bar, click on "Create Column"
- Enter the column name
- You have the option to add a different name for just the Grade Center
- Description of the columns or grade contained within it
- Primary Display is how the column is shown; as total points, percentage, letter grade, complete/incomplete, or custom text
- Primary Display is how the grade looks in both Grade Center and My Grades from the My Institution page
- Secondary Display is how the column is shown in Grade Center
- Set how many points are possible for the column
- Due Date for the points
- Choose your options and click "Submit"
