This guide details what equipment is available through the Creative Technology Lending Collection and provides additional resources to support the creative work of student and faculty.

Have you directed and produced a film you'd like to screen with your friends, created digital art you'd like to exhibit in small public spaces, or are you keen to try your hand at projection art? With a projection area of up to 100 inches diagonal and WVGA 854 x 480 native resolution, the Aaxa Pico Projector is perfect tool to start with.


For this project, you will need:

  • Aaxa Pico Projector
  • Personal device (such as a computer, smart phone, or tablet) or USB
  • May need an HDMI cable
  • May need an adapter for Apple computers

There are all sorts of things you can do with a short throw projector. Here are some examples:

How to Decorate Cookies with a Projector. In this video the creator uses a different model than what is available here but the concept is the same. There are many other projects where a projected stencil can help.
