Using the Primo Library Catalog: Request Digitization

Request Digitization

If there is a book or journal you need only a small portion of, you can request for that portion to be digitized. The library will scan that portion for you and email it to you. To begin, find the resource in Primo. You must sign in to create the request.

Once signed in, you will be presented with a few request options. Select "Digitization."

After you click "Digitize," you'll see this screen. Before continuing, keep in mind that due to copyright law, the library can only scan up to 10% of any book (e.g. 10 pages of a 100-page book). You cannot request an entire book either in full or broken up into many separate requests. Reach out to a librarian if you have questions about scanning.

Enter in the pages you need scanned. Keep in mind that a worker will be receiving this request, so specific instructions are useful. Chapter names and numbers are acceptable, pages and page ranges work best. Once you've entered in the correct pages, click "Request," and keep an eye on your email for a PDF of your full scan.
