Using your Public Library Card

Things to Know: Using your Public Library Card to Borrow from OhioLINK

Most of the major public libraries in Ohio are connected to OhioLINK, making it easy for you to borrow research items from academic libraries & have them delivered to the public library you use.

  • Your public library must be in the list of institutions.
  • At least one Library must have the item listed as "Available".
  • Even items that have an "Available" status from Cincinnati State may be borrowed.
  • You will need to know your library card or barcode number (usually found on the back of your library card)..
  • Deliveries take a minimum of 3-5 business days.
  • Borrowed items may be renewed using the options available from your public library.
  • Items will be picked up AND returned to the same library.
